Jesse Morris is committed to finding solutions to issues of animal cruelty and mistreatment. He was a founding member of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at Seton Hall University School of Law, and is currently a member of the Animal Welfare Special Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, which provides analysis and commentary on proposed legislation to advance animal protections. In recent years, he has been working to find new ways to advance protections for animals and address issues of cruelty and neglect.
Our practice encompasses:
- Animal Welfare Advocacy: Representing clients in cases involving the treatment of animals, from dogs raised in "puppy mills" to the billions of animals raised annually for food production.
- Cruelty Cases: Litigating against individuals and businesses accused of animal cruelty to ensure accountability and justice.
- Freedom of Information: Assisting clients with requests under the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and related state laws to uncover and address the mistreatment of animals.
- Policy and Legislation: Advising on and contributing to the development of laws and regulations aimed at protecting animal rights.
- Dispute Resolution: Handling conflicts between individuals, businesses, and organizations involving the ownership, custody, or care of animals.
Our commitment to animal welfare extends beyond the courtroom, as we work to raise awareness and create lasting change for animals everywhere. Let us help secure justice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
